Biography[]
Noreen Hanel (previously Ganon, and Buchman) is a sim in the fictional town of Arbor Acres.
Storyline[]
Noreen is introduced as a career oriented woman. She is divorced from Hugh Ganon and togrther they had a daughter, Riley, whom Hugh maintains primart custody of. She and Hugh are very friendly to one another, despite their failed marriage. Noreen has recently begun working closely with Bruce Buchman on the case regarding Upton Howl's late wife, Hortense Noreen promises Upton to work closely with Bruce so no evidence is mis interpreted or construed in a harmful way. However, as Noreen begins working closely with Bruce, she develops romantic feelings for him. However, due to their involvement in the case, they are forbidden from dating. Noreen is also distracted by Riley and, her less thn desired boyfriend, Paul, who is known for being a punk. As she and Hugh unite to tear Paul and Riley apart, Noreen's budding romance with Bruce is threatened, especially when Hugh thinks that them coming together to help Riley, will bring them back together.
After an atrocious dinner party gone awry Hugh comforts Noreen and attempts to kiss her, leading her to push him away and declare that despite their shared love for their daughter, they are divorced and that is it for them. High leaves her home devastated while Bruce shows up, tells Noreen she shouldn't beat herself up about it and they share a kiss. They at first plan to keep their relationship a secret while looking into Hortense Howl's death. However, their relationship is soon discovered and goes public, throwing out the integrity of their case against Upton Howl, whom they believe killed his wife. However, Bruce then learns that it was his father who ordered the kidnapping of Hortense but she died of mood failure while captured. Not wanting to turn in his dad Bruce keeps it quiet. Soon enough though, Noreen discovers the truth from Hugh, again trying to win her back.
Noreen leaves Bruce but again rebuffs Hugh's advances. Shen then focuses on Riley's dangerous study habits as she begins to heavily depend on caffeine to do well in school. After Riley passes out in the middle of the day and nearly dies, Noreen convinces her daughter to seek help abroad. Hugh lashes out at Noreen for not including him in her plans but she ruthlessly declares that Hugh's motives for helping their daughter are always driven by his desire to reunite with her. Realizing the truth to Noreen's words and knowing they are truly done he leaves to be with Riley abroad as she recovers. She and Bruce then gravitate back towards each other. Soon enough they declare their love and elope. However, their happiness lasts only days as Bruce's son, Damon, is killed leaving Bruce nearly comatose. Wanting to revive her husband's mood Noreen attempts to become pregnant by Bruce but after a few failed attempts and his low, libido she seeks the aid of her former boyfriend, Sanjay Navid.
Noreen soon becomes pregnant and thanks Sanjay for his "donation" but it soon becomes clear Sanjay wants Noreen back. The pregnancy brings Bruce out of his funk but he soon relapses when Sanjay exposes the tryst. Bruce leaves Noreen, who also swears off Sanjay for his treachery. Noreen soon gives birth to a son, Mark Hanel. She and Bruce soon divorce, but soon resolve a friendship that lingers on the romantic. Soon enough though Noreen and Sanjay bond over their son and after a sincere apology he asks Noreen to give their relationship a real chance, she accepts and they begin dating to the annoyance of Sanjay's ex-wife, Lindsay West. Lindsay on the other hand begins courting Bruce's brother, Cliff, the ex-husband of Noreen's friend, Mary Kincaid. Noreen and Sanjay soon find themselves happy, until her daughter, Riley return she reveals that she and Keith Holcomb are in a realtionship.
