The beautiful Kaleigh Mizushima of Riverview was a devoted mother, wife, and sister. She lived in Riverview all of her life. She met Zack Running on a trip to Sunset Valley, and it was love at first sight. They eventually married, and Kaleigh convinced Zack to move to Riverview. The newlyweds had a good marriage for a few years. When Kaleigh's sister Aya lost her job, Kaleigh invited her into the Running home.
Zack died on Kaleigh's sixth months of pregnancy, but Kaleigh kept a level head, and the daughter was born with good traits, to her relief. Kaleigh taught Amare to talk when the girl was three. When Amare was four, the Running house caught fire. Aya and Kaleigh escaped, but the latter realized that Amare was still in the house. Kaleigh ran back in, despite the warnings of the firemen, and managed to save her daughter. Both were hopitalized for smoke inhalation, and Kaleigh for burns. Unfortunately, Kaleigh died during her fourth day in hospital.
